Have you looked at all of the amazing technology advancements in today’s ever growing world? You have speakers you can talk to, cards that listen to you, mail delivered by drone, and so much more. With all of these advancements we can only wonder what type of technology is heading our way next. Looking into our near future, we see some pretty cool looking shorts …shorts that reveal more than just a pair of legs. These shorts, called the Spinali Design Shorts, actually tell the wearer where to go.
How Do They Work?
It’s all based on vibrations. There’s two vibrating sensors that are on the belt. These shorts send a vibration to different sides of your body. For example, if you feel a vibration on your left side of your body, then you would turn left. The Spinali design shorts are connected to a phone via Bluetooth, so it’s the phone that is telling the shorts which way to turn.
Spinali design shorts have a neat geolocation feature. This feature will give you the opportunity to navigate by using guiding vibrations. How is this helpful? It’s a great way to help you navigate a new area or even find where you left your car parked.
The geolocation feature is pretty cool, but that’s not all the shorts can do! Whenever you get a text or call, you’ll feel a buzz in your shots. Also, if you’re running behind schedule, the shorts will vibrate in order to give you a warning – all of this can be setup via your smartphone.
Security Alerts and Home Support
These shorts can also help you with security alerts and home support. Now, that’s pretty cool, right?
Measures the Sun’s Rays
The shorts have a waterproof sensor that will help you measure the sun’s rays – it will let you know how long you have been in them. If you have been in the sun for too long, you’ll receive an alert message through your mobile phone, letting you know that you need to go inside or reapply sun lotion. Marie Spinali, the company’s founder, created this technology after she saw a woman get a bad sunburn on the beach.
What Others are Saying
This product was recently announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, which is where tech giants go in order to unveil their latest and greatest inventions. At the time of writing this review, there were many people talking about these shorts, with many people liking the idea. However, on the same note, there were some that thought shorts that help you navigate the world via vibrations was just taking it too far. One site has even listed the Spinali design shorts as one of the 5 worst tech products at the Consumer Electronics Show, which is funny, because how can they be listed as the worst, when people haven’t even had the opportunity to try them out yet?
